Our Why

With our roots in Colorado, a critical headwater state, we have a shared responsibility to preserve freshwater resources for the health of oceans and communities downstream.

There is a common misconception that inland communities and individual actions do NOT contribute to the decline in ocean health.

We knew this couldn't be further from the truth, and it was causing lasting damage to the planet. This disconnect is why we started Reef Healers. To raise awareness around the power of collective action, and create a revenue stream to protect Rivers and Reefs.

Our Mission

We aim to grow a sustainable revenue stream that expands ocean conservation efforts from rivers to reefs. Connecting communities through impactful events and educational initiatives that highlight how upstream actions have downstream impacts, though, ultimately affect us all.

Our Goals

  • Raise our first $1,000 in the action fund ($500 for Rivers & $500 for Reefs)
  • Plan and coordinate a local philanthropic event.
  • Become 100% sustainable/carbon neutral in all business operations.
  • Launch our first joint-funded and then self-funded conservation projects.
  • Expand operations internationally.
  • Goal 6: Clean Water and Sanitation

Protecting and improving water quality through local cleanups, education, and advocacy for watershed health.

  • Goal 14: Life Below Water

Supporting marine conservation and coral restoration efforts that safeguard the future of our oceans.

  • Goal 17: Partnerships for the Goals

Collaborating with local governments, nonprofits, and community organizations to scale impact from rivers to reefs.
